Our First Annual Library Holiday "BAR" Crawl!

Tuesday, December 107:00—8:00 PMCommunity RoomCanton Public Library786 Washington St., Canton, MA, 02021

Join us for our “Bar Crawl” where you can share your favorite dessert bars or “squares” here at the library! Kindly be sure to list any nuts in your recipe. Make your favorite bar cookie and bring both the recipe and the cookies to share with others at the Canton Library’s Cookie Bar Crawl on Tuesday, December 10 at 7:00 pm.

Bar cookies are a potluck staple, perfect for the holidays, and are made from either a batter or stiff dough that’s poured or pressed into a baking pan or dish, baked, cooled, and then cut into bars, squares, or diamonds. They can be single-layered (like brownies) or multi-layered with cake-like or chewy textures. Bring a tried and true, family recipe or experiment with a deluxe, new-to-you bar cookie to test out before the family holiday get-together.

Bring in a pan of bars (brownies, lemon bars, cookie bars, banana bars, fruit bars, etc.) along with the recipe. (Cut into sample size portions, please!)

Attendees will do the "bar crawl" and try a bite of each bar, then vote for their favorite.

Please bring your creation at 6:30pm ready to be displayed and include any necessary utensils.

Voting will be from 7-8pm or while supplies last! Tea, coffee, hot cocoa will be provided,

Registration for this event has now closed.
